Solomon Leadership Foundation is a State of California 501(c)(3) nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation. The Foundation was formed to promote effective public leadership through the use of media and communications technologies, the application of nonprofit business planning strategies and engaged learning programs.
Solomon Leadership Foundation initiatives include:
The Art of Civic Engagement, an online journal of effective public leadership;
Community Leadership Forums to encourage the building of leadership skills of students and others toward public participation and community service. The Community Leadership Forums are conducted in cooperation with educational institutions, community organizations, business and civic leaders;
Dialogues with community, civic and business leaders on the challenges confounding public service efforts in the midst of dynamic social and economic shifts in society.
Student Internships to provide college and university students the opportunity to work directly with Foundation Board of Directors in the development and implementation of Civic Engagement projects.

David S. Cunningham, Jr. has over five (5) decades of professional experience in public policy formation, implementation and review. During his years as City Councilman from the 10th District of Los Angeles, succeeding newly elected Mayor Tom Bradley, Mr. Cunningham served in leadership capacity for many Council Committees as well as developing legislation in the field of housing, public financing and intergovernmental relations. Since retiring from public office, he has been instrumental in helping various clients achieve desired objectives through his tireless work as an effective advocate.

Larry B. Ahlquist

Since his tenure began as General Manager for City Club on Bunker Hill in 1994 and Regional Manager for California ClubCorp Business Clubs, Mr. Ahlquist has established the City Club as the premiere meeting place for the Downtown Community's business and civic leaders. He and his Club have hosted civic leaders, international figureheads, top executives and other distinguished professionals in both the public and private sector.

An activist in the LGBT community for over three decades, Rita Gonzales has received numerous recognitions throughout the years for her efforts on behalf of the LGBT community. Also an award-winning broadcaster, she is currently serving as Executive Producer and Host of “the OUT Agenda,” a radio show that focuses on LGBT issues. The 60-minute program airs on KPFK 90.7 FM Los Angeles.

In March 1989 he began Nelson Davis Television Productions with the idea of producing special television programming targeted for niche audiences. His first weekly series was “MAKING IT! Minority Success Stories", a small business show which profiles entrepreneurs. The program has received over thirty awards & citations from all levels of government and business organizations, including four Emmys as Best Public Affairs series. His views on small business have been featured in Newsweek magazine, Business Week and the Los Angeles Times. Nelson is committed to combining his knowledge of media and marketing to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and has recently formed The Making It Institute for the Advancement of Business. Ms. Wooldridge is the founder and principal of Excelerate Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in program/project management, change management and strategic planning. Under her leadership, Excelerate has serviced clients in both the public and private sector including Fortune 500 companies in the utility, retail, and automotive industries. She is a native Southern Californian and graduate of Claremont McKenna College with a degree in Economics and Accounting.
Tuan Do is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Zealyx, an endeared software and information technology company. He is a dedicated and recognized technology expert with more than 10 years of engineering leadership experience. Tuan has helped many organizations effectively use technology to fulfill their missions. He is also actively involved with major nonprofit organizations including the Rotary Club of Los Angeles and SOS Mentor. Tuan earned two degrees at Cal State Long Beach: a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.A. in Economics, both with honors.
Grayce Frink is currently a judical clerk for a federal judge in the Central District of California. Prior to clerking, Grayce was a litigation associate at the international law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP and a law clerk for the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund. Grayce is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and UCLA, where she earned a J.D. and a B.A. in Critical Race Theory: Public Policy & Law.
